Did you know? Saarbrücken hosted the TaCoS also in 1995, 2006 and 2013.
Saarbrücken is the cultural and political capital of the Saarland and located at the French border.
The main campus of Saarland University is located outside of town on a hill in the forest.
The computational linguistics department, where the TaCoS will take place, can be found right here in the buildings C7.1 - C7.4.
The campus also consists of other non-university research institutes, many of which specialize in computer science. In particular, there are the DFKI (Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz), the Max Planck Institute for Informatics and the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems.
Assuming you arrive at the main station, there are plenty of buses that can take you to university. See here for details.
Assuming you took a long distance bus, you will arive at the Fernbusbahnhof, which is also in the city. See here for buses to university.
The conference will take place in the buildings C7.1 - C7.4 on the Saarbrücken campus.
When planning your trip to Saarbrücken, be sure to check if you can get funded by your university!
